Secured his card through the Qualifying School for a second consecutive year, finishing 18th in Portugal. Ended his rookie season on the Senior Tour in 62nd place on the Order of Merit, with tied 27th in The De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship and the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open his highlights. Claimed the sixth and final full card on his first attempt at Qualifying School, having led going into the final round. Worked as a commercial banker for ten years before turning professional and joining the Nationwide Tour in 1988. Born in Kansas, close to 2009 Senior Open Champion Bruce Vaughan whom he often plays with. Decided to join so his family could travel in Europe.
