Henk started golf at a young age, as as little boy caddying for members of his local golf club. In 1973, before he turned pro, he won the caddies' trophy, the Prince Claus Trophee. Henk, together with his brother Kees, is the designer and manager of the Crayestein Golf Course in Dordrecht.
