One of a record four Americans to claim a European Tour card from the 2013 Qualifying School. Inspired to travel to Europe by the success of his friends and compatriots Peter Uihlein and Brooks Koepka, he won the First Stage at Fleesensee en route to the Final Stage in Girona, where he led after two rounds before eventually claiming the seventh card at PGA Catalunya Resort. Was born into golf and swung his first club aged two with the help of his father, a 20-year Titleist employee. First shot under par aged 12, was a three-time All-American at Kent State University in Ohio and qualified for the 2013 US Open Championship at Merion Golf Club. Was also a keen baseball player as a youngster, influenced by his grandfather Babe Hahn, who played for Major League side the Philadelphia Phillies. Also enjoys science and reading and his favourite book is Victor Hugo’s ‘Les Miserables’.
