ENG
Slough Place of Birth6′ 0″ (183cm) HeightComputers Interests2000 Qualifying SchoolKeith, the professional at Goodwood in Sussex for over 20 years, made an excellent start to his European Seniors Tour career, finishing the 2001 season in 18th place on the Order of Merit after a number of fine performances, including a share of fourth place at the Wales Seniors Open and a tie for seventh at the Legends in Golf in Holland. However, he reserved his best golf for the 2001 Scottish Seniors Open at The Roxburghe where he recorded rounds of 71-67-72 before narrowly losing out to America's David Oakley on the first hole of the subsequent play-off. Comes from a large family of golf professionals, his grandfather, his father, his two sons and several other relations also being professionals as well. In fact, the MacDonald family was once listed in the Guinness Book of Records as being the largest family of golf professionals in the world. Keith is a former winner of the Southern Region Club Professionals' Championship and the Southern Region Order of Merit. He also shares the record for registering the lowest score in a PGA event, having scored a 60 in the final round of a Mid-Kent Classic. On that occasion, he went into the final round five adrift of the leaders but won by no less than seven strokes. Keith's father, then the professional at Hankley Common, led after the first round of the 1962 Open Championship at Royal Troon, going on to finish in a share of 27th place.
