Became the sixth Danish golfer to win on The European Tour when he claimed his breakthrough victory in the 2007 Open de Madrid Valle Romano. That helped him finish 61st on the Order of Merit, the first time since he turned professional in 1999 that he had finished inside the top 100. First came to prominence when capturing the Doug Sanders World Boys Championship in 1996, and it was not long until he was selected for Denmark’s senior team before turning professional in 1999. First joined The European Tour as a European Challenge Tour graduate, finishing 11th on the 2001 Rankings. Spent the next five seasons yo-yoing between the Challenge Tour and The European Tour, but his victory in Spain means he is an exempt player on The European Tour now until the end of this season.
