Being the son of a professional hockey player, Max got into competitive sports early at the age of six.

The German turned professional in 2016 after a stellar college career at Arizona State University and graduating from ASU’s Business School cum laude.

He started his professional career on the PGA TOUR Canada, where he recorded two titles in his first two years. Between 2018-2021, he played on the Korn Ferry Tour.

In the 2023 European Challenge Tour season, Rottluff was one of three two-time winners with titles at the UAE Challenge as well as the Indoor Golf Group Challenge that saw him finish 20th in the Race to Mallorca to earn his first season on DP World Tour.
