Has played in a handful of events on the European Senior Tour over the past couple of seasons – he competed in The Senior British Open Championship, presented by MasterCard, and De Vere PGA Seniors Championship in 2004 – and having enjoyed the experience he entered the 2004 Qualifying School. Came close to winning a full card but finished in a tie for ninth place, claiming the first of the eight conditional cards on offer. The professional at Peterborough Milton Golf Club for the past 12 years, he lost a National Par Three competition in a play-off against European Tour professional Robert Rock in 2002. Played in the PGA Cup in 1977, won the Midland PGA Stroke Play title in 1974 and, in 1976, claimed the Midland PGA Championship.
