The son of Wally Uihlein, CEO of Acushnet/Titleist, he attended Oklahoma State University and reached Number One in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, having won the 2010 U.S. Amateur Championship on his 21st birthday.
Started the 2013 season with only a Challenge Tour category, but won the Madeira Islands Open to gain full European Tour Membership, finishing the season a heady 14th in the Race to Dubai and as the winner of the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year.
Once came within a whisker of recording the first official 59 in European Tour history at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at Kingsbarns.
