Played on The European Tour during the 1970s, ’80s and early ’90s, finishing a career-highest 93rd on the Order of Merit in 1979. Winner of the Glenmuir Club Professionals’ Championship at The Belfry in 1985, he has long been a prominent figure in the East PGA Region with a host of titles to his name. Won the Suffolk PGA Championship for a 12th time in 2005 but, more significantly, it meant he had now captured the title in each of the past five decades. One of the highlights of his career was making the Great Britain & Ireland team for the 1994 PGA Cup at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Florida. Qualified for the 2006 European Senior Tour courtesy of an 11th place finish at the Qualifying School in Portugal.
