Boasts an impressive amateur record, having held the honour of being the World Amateur Number One for five weeks in early 2009. That was soon after victory in the Australian Amateur Championship, adding to the Hong Kong Amateur Open Championship title he won in 2006. Struggled to make an impact in the professional ranks but built up his game in Australia and Asia, capturing his first professional win in the 2012 Victorian Open. That win was the launchpad for his success at the 2012 Qualifying School Final Stage, where he took the 26th card at the end of a steady week at PGA Catalunya Resort. Will be in familiar company on The European Tour as he is friendly with Brett Rumford and Marcus Fraser, while he also counts Australian cricket legend Ricky Ponting among his circle of friends. Golf runs in the family and his father, Colin, was a playing professional in Africa and Asia, while his brother Jamie is also a professional, currently plying his trade in the USA. His main passion outside golf is motorsport and he is the proud owner of two go-karts.
