Silvano qualified for the European Seniors Tour when he finished 14th at the 2000 Qualifying School at PGA Golf de Catalunya. During the 2001 season he looked like he might lose his playing privileges until he finished a highly creditable 11th at the season-ending European Seniors Tournament of Champions back at the same course where he earned his card. He played on The European Tour earlier in his life with his best finish being a ninth place at the 1982 Ebel Swiss Open.
