First qualified for the Asian Tour in 2011, two years after turning professional. Made a name for himself that year when he contended at the Indonesian Maste rs and was in the final group with Lee Westwood on the final day. His breakthrough victory came at the 2016 Bashundhara Bangladesh Open, the same year he qualified for the U.S. Open. Earned his place in the field at the last minute when Tiger Woods withdrew. Is nicknamed ‘Tote’ by his friends, which translates as slow. Credits his success in the the professional game to working with a sports psychologist, who has injected self-belief in his game.
