Equalled his best Senior Tour finish when he was runner-up to Ian Woosnam in the 2011 Berenberg Bank Masters. Two weeks later he took a five shot lead going into the final round of the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open having carded a record equalling lowest Senior Tour 18 hole total of 61 in the first round, but had to settle for a share of third behind Peter Fowler. Ended the 2010 season strongly, finishing tied 12th in the Casa Serena Open and tied ninth in the Sicilian Senior Open, but had to return to Qualifying School in November to gain the fifth of six unconditional cards available. It was the second consecutive year the Chilean made the trip to Portugal despite ending the 2009 season brightly with a share of sixth place at the Benahavis Senior Masters before finishing in 50th position on the Order of Merit – two places lower than his 2010 final position. Saved his best performance of 2008 until the final event when he finished tied runner up in the OKI Castellón Open España – Senior Tour Championship, two strokes behind winner Sam Torrance. That was his second top five finish of the season following a share of third place in the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open en route to finishing 24th in the Order of Merit – his best position in three years on the Senior Tour. Led the 2005 Qualifying School after round two before finishing in a three-way tie for fifth place. In the ensuing play-off with England’s Stephen Chadwick and Rigoberto Velasquez of Columbia, the Chilean found sand off the tee at the first extra hole and lost out with a bogey five, which meant he had to settle for a conditional card.
